Description:	This is part eight of the Security Legislation Directorate (SLD) file (file number 2/4/2/121) on the United Democratic Front (UDF) in terms of internal security: control of organisations. This file was opened on 6 February 1987 and closed on 12 October 1987 and contains among others documents of the Department of Justice and the Directorate of Security Legislation on the subject of the UDF court case, including an evaluation of the Didcott judgment in the UDF case; the memorandum in the matter between the UDF and the State; a review by the Bureau of Information on alternative media; a list of organisations affiliated to the UDF, and newspaper clippings. The documents are dated 1987. All the documents are photocopies. These copies were released by the National Archives in respect of PAIA request number 2011-0127-NAR.
