This is part seven of the Security Legislation Directorate (SLD) file (file number 2/4/2/121) on the United Democratic Front (UDF) in terms of internal security: control of organisations. This file was opened on 13 October 1986 and closed on 5 February 1987 and contains among others correspondence and documents of the Directorate of Security Legislation and State President P.W. Botha on the subject of the declaring the UDF an affected organisation in terms of the Affected Organisations Act, 1974 (Act 31 of 1974), including an acknowledgement of receipt of UDF documents on behalf of the state attorney; first page of Government Gazette Vol. 256 No. 10486 regarding the proclamation; speech by Minister Louis Le Grange, Minister of Law and Order at a session of the president's council on 18 February 1986. The documents are dated 1986. All the documents are photocopies. These copies were released by the National Archives in respect of PAIA request number 2011-0127-NAR. |
