FOIP Field Trip March/April 2009: India
In March-April 2009 SAHA's Freedom of Information Programme (FOIP) Project Manager, Charlotte Young, travelled to India to meet with a number of different people involved in the freedom of information movement and the implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act. The main purpose of the trip was to conduct further research to identify models that could potentially be amended for use in South Africa in order to bring about greater mobilisation at the grassroots level in terms of accessing and realising the right to access information.
