SAHA Archival Materials available online...
Based at UKZN and funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, DISA is a collaborative initiative aimed at creating a freely accessible online scholarly resource focusing on the socio-political history of South Africa, particularly the struggles for freedom during the period from 1950 to the first democratic elections in 1994. A number of archives, including the National Library of South Africa, the Cory Library at Rhodes University, UCT's Department of Manuscripts and Archives, Historical Papers at Wits University and SAHA have contributed to making a wealth of materials on this fascinating period in the country's history available through the DISA online platform.
Select items from the following SAHA collections are already available on the DISA site, with more being added in the course of 2009:
AL2446 - The SAHA Poster Collection Items available on the DISA site
AL2431 - The UDF Collection Items available on the DISA site
AL2457 - The Original SAHA collection Items available on the DISA site
