This is an offset litho poster in blue and white issued by Shifty Records for the release of the album 'Living in the Heart of the Beast' by the Kalahari Surfers in 1985 . The text reads: "long playing record : LIVING IN THE HEART OF THE BEAST : KALAHARI SURFERS : Many were teenagers who burned all their records and hauled down the Union Jack. They wore distinctive white bands around their hats... ". This poster was digitised by Specialised Archival Solutions in 2009. Included in the SAHA physical and / or virtual exhibitions 'What you won't hear on the radio' developed to mark the 30th birthday of Shifty Records and the 25th anniversary of the Voƫlvry tour. |
