This is a video clip of part one of the interview with Jabu Ngwenya conducted by Tymon Smith on 08.05.2007 at the Johannesburg Central Police Station (previously John Vorster Square) as part of the Sunday Times Heritage Project - a joint project between SAHA and the Sunday Times. Involved with various Catholic organisations, Jabu Ngwenya became politically active, working with the Christian Institute, various student movements and trade unions. He was detained a number of times between the 1970s and 1980s. He was one of the witnesses called to testify by advocate George Bizos at the Aggett inquest. Part/s of this interview may have been included in "Between Life and Death: Stories from John Vorster Square" - a DVD produced as part of this project.
